After two weeks of racing over relentlessly tough terrain, the Land Rover Defender D7X-R has won the 2026 Dakar Rally – Stock class, the toughest off‑road challenge in the world. Drivers, Rokas Baciuška and Oriol Vidal took the win with the trio of Defender Rally crews achieving a ‘1‑2‑3’ result across 10 of the 13 stages. Over the 14‑days of gruelling competition, the three Defender Dakar D7X‑Rs racked up a combined total of 24,000km traversing the Saudi Arabian desert.

Vital to the success of the team are vehicle service areas where mechanics work through the night to prepare vehicles for the next stage of the Dakar. Inflatale Structures Ltd.  supplied the special high pressure Axion inflatable tents to Land Rover partner Prodrive, who developed the winning Defender D7X-R. This is our third year supplying tents for the Dakar to UK based Prodrive, a world-leading, multidisciplined motorsport and advanced engineering group.

The tents supplied for this year’s Dakar are our latest high pressure inflatable event tents, fully branded with the teams’ logos and graphics and linked together as shown in the photos. The Axion 7m x 7m tents utilise high pressure support tubes provide a rigid structure capable of withstanding the high winds encountered in the desert and avoid sagging when the temperature drops at night.
